Quiet spot
It's been a while.
I've been away.
Not to a place
but to a state of mind.
My world is one
where I am not myself
but one who drifts
like gossamer.
I need this place.
I need the peace,
the isolation of
salt air, wheeling gulls
and bell buoys.
Let me drift with the tides
tumble with the sea glass,
and finally rest on my beloved beach.
Hey, lighthouse lovers. I haven't had the time or inspiration to visit here lately. I will try to come from time to time. You are welcome any time. The key is under the mat and the Beacon is there for your comfort. Ava

I'm out back just listening to the waves and the birds OK?
Ava John told me to try shift+enter at the end of lines and see if xanga accepts it. Now not to lose the note as I don't post poetry as a general rule.
@BLB - Take your ease at the Light. You probably don't want to climb all the stairs to the top, but the little strip of beach is nice. And thanks for the tip. I'll try it. Ava
sounds peaceful...i haven't been to the beach lately here...i think we had a big sewage spill the last few days and miles of it are closed - ick!
Hi, Ava. Hugs and Love from Corea! I accidentally stumbled upon my old xanga diary, which I couldn't get into before, so I started the sillama1 journal. Found a note from you and followed the link here. Your poem is beautiful!!! The Beacon is a wonderful place to just get away from the every-day world. I, too, am an ocean-lover.
